Thiruvananthapuram: Kerala Education Minister V Sivankutty has requested the immediate release of pending central funds for the Samagra Shiksha Kerala (SSK) scheme. He raised the demand during a meeting with Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan in New Delhi.

The pending allocation amounts to 1,066.36 crore rupees for the financial years 2023-24, 2024-25, and 2025-26. Sivankutty urged that the amount be released in a single instalment to expedite ongoing educational programmes in the state.

He said timely disbursal of the funds is crucial for ensuring the smooth functioning of Kerala’s education initiatives and for further strengthening the Samagra Shiksha Kerala project, which aims to enhance the learning environment and support students’ overall development.
