Two-Minute Challenge: Satheeshan’s Lies Exposed in Viral Competition

Kochi: DYFI presented Satheeshan’s false statements as a competition item, which had been trending on social media. The DYFI Ernakulam District Committee organised the competition in front of Maharaja’s College.
Many people came to participate in the “Satheeshan’s Lying” contest. The only requirement for the competition was that all lies should be recounted within two minutes. However, some participants said that two minutes were not enough to tell all those lies.
After the Mundakkayam disaster, ministers did not visit Mundakkayam, survivors were not provided medical aid or rent, Jamaat-e-Islami abandoned religious nationalism, Satheeshan did not participate in the RSS program, did not light a lamp in front of Golwalkar, the health sector in Kerala is struggling with ventilators, and the education sector is in complete disarray. Each lie stated by Satheeshan was recounted and debunked by the contestants.
Safwan, a student from Maharaja’s College, quickly presented all twelve lies told by Satheeshan and came first. A video presentation was also made, showing Satheeshan’s lies alongside the corresponding realities.
The inauguration and prize distribution were conducted by DYFI State President V. Vaseef, who said that the contest would be conducted all over Kerala. District President Nikhil Babu presided over the function. State Secretariat member Meenu Sukumaran, District Secretary A. R. Ranjith, Bibin Varghese, Amal Sohan, and Manisha Radakrishnan also participated.
