Thiruvananthapuram: LDF Convener T.P. Ramakrishnan has expressed confidence that the front will retain power in Kerala with a good margin, saying there is no anti-incumbency sentiment in the state and that exit polls showing strong support for Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan confirm the LDF's standing.

Ramakrishnan said he himself would win comfortably in Peramabra, and that the LDF would make significant gains in Kozhikode. He dismissed exit poll projections as unreliable, pointing to the 2021 election when polls incorrectly predicted that K.K. Shailaja's victory would be marginal, that M.M. Mani would lose in Idukki, and that the LDF would lose in Beypore and Balussery — all of which turned out to be wrong. "There are factually incorrect elements in this time's exit polls too. These projections are out of step with reality and the calculations will prove wrong," he said.

He challenged those calling for a change of government to explain on what basis they are making that demand. He also rejected the analysis that minority consolidation against LDF had not taken place, calling such assessments wrong.
