Former Thodupuzha Municipality Chairperson and Congress Leader Sanish George Held While Allegedly Using Drugs

Thodupuzha: Former Thodupuzha Municipality chairperson and Congress leader Sanish George was taken into custody by a special investigation team while allegedly using narcotic substances.

Police conducted a search based on information that Sanish George was using drugs at an isolated spot near Padinjarekkodikulam. By the time the police team arrived, he had allegedly finished using the substance. Police also recovered equipment used for consuming drugs from his possession.

Sanish George is suspected of being a key link in the drug network operating in Thodupuzha.

Sanish George, who served as the municipality chairperson around one-and-a-half years ago, lost the post after becoming involved in a bribery case.
