Plus-One Student Faces Brutal Hazing in Thiruvananthapuram; Parents File Police Complaint

Thiruvananthapuram: A Plus-One student was subjected to brutal ragging at a school in Thiruvananthapuram. The incident occurred at Koduvazhannoor Higher Secondary School, where Plus-Two students allegedly assaulted the junior student. The victim's parents have lodged a complaint with Nagaroor Police.

The incident took place on Monday evening. According to the preliminary information, the Plus-One student had created a social media group for his batch. Senior students allegedly demanded that the group be deleted, and an argument that followed escalated into the assault.

The Plus-One student was attacked while leaving the school after classes. The Plus-Two students pinned him down and choked him by pressing his neck with leg, leaving him struggling to breathe. Visuals of the ragging, recorded by the students themselves on mobile phones, show the victim gasping for breath during the assault.

Following the complaint, police recorded statements from the school authorities. Nagaroor Police have launched an investigation into the incident.
