‘Sanghi VC to the Arabian Sea’: Students Storm Raj Bhavan

SFI All India President Adarsh M Saji and State President M Sivaprasad hold up a file photo of Opposition Leader V D Satheesan inaugurating an RSS event. Earlier, Satheesan had dismissed the SFI protest as unnecessary. SFI leaders accused him of becoming a mouthpiece for the RSS, alleging that both he and his party’s student wing were reluctant to protest against the Vice Chancellor

Thiruvananthapuram: Protesting the RSS's attempts to saffronise universities using the Governor, the SFI marched to the Raj Bhavan. SFI All India President Adarsh M Saji addressed the gathering, saluting the march.
Police blocked the SFI activists heading towards the Raj Bhavan using barricades and water cannons. The students held up a banner reading “Sanghi VC to the Arabian Sea” as they approached the Governor’s residence. The march was led by SFI state president M Shivaprasad.

In protest against the arrest of students who opposed the RSS's moves to saffronise and destabilise higher education in Kerala, the SFI had called for a statewide class boycott on Thursday. Following that, marches were held to the Raj Bhavan and various central government offices across districts.
Is Kerala's Opposition Leader V D Satheesan or V D Savarkar?: Adarsh M Saji
Thiruvananthapuram: Is Kerala's Opposition Leader V D Satheesan or is it V D Savarkar, asked SFI All India President Adarsh M Saji, speaking at the Raj Bhavan march held in protest against RSS attempts to saffronise universities using the Governor. The march was led by SFI state president M Shivaprasad and was met with barricades and water cannon by the police.

Adarsh also remarked that one should suspect whether Rajeev Chandrasekhar himself is preparing the Facebook posts for V D Satheesan. He suggested that the statements of RSS men and V D Satheesan sound identical. He added that even before Arif Mohammad Khan came from Goa, Satheesan had already bowed in front of the saffron flag and lit a lamp. There is no doubt that he has now become an even bigger RSS ally than Rajeev Chandrasekhar, said Adarsh.
V D Satheesan had earlier rejected the SFI's protest against the Governor’s attempts to saffronise universities. In response, Adarsh exposed what he described as Satheesan’s devotion to the RSS.
