‘Savishesha – Carnival of the Different’ Concludes with Commitment to Inclusive Rights

Thiruvananthapuram: The three-day creative festival ‘Savishesha – Carnival of the Different’, which provided a platform for the artistic, sporting, and literary talents of the differently-abled community, concluded with a strong declaration that the government is committed to ensuring equal rights and opportunities for differently abled people in society.
Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan, in a Facebook post, said the objective of such initiatives is to create an inclusive and just social environment where everyone is part of the New Kerala development process.
During the festival, numerous differently-abled talents showcased their abilities across various stages set up as part of the event. Alongside art and literary competitions, notable performances were also seen in the field of sports.
As part of the program, a Job Fest organised under the leadership of the Knowledge Economy Mission emerged as a major success. Through this employment fair, hundreds of differently-abled candidates secured job opportunities across various sectors, marking a significant step towards the economic self-reliance of differently-abled individuals.
