Rahul Gandhi and Congress are BJP's B Team; Chief Minister Reminds of Delhi, Haryana, and Bihar

Kochi: Kerala Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan stated that Congress and Rahul Gandhi have always worked as the B team of BJP in the country. He asserted that the policies and stances adopted by Congress and Rahul Gandhi in various states have helped bring BJP to power. This was in response to a question regarding Rahul Gandhi’s accusation of an alliance between BJP and CPI(M) leaders in Kerala.
Chief Minister said that despite being the national leader of Congress, Rahul Gandhi does not even have the knowledge of a local worker. He criticised Rahul for continuously adopting a stance that helps BJP and stated that BJP is targeting opposition leaders through legal cases. Referring to the time when Arvind Kejriwal's ministers in Delhi were arrested, he pointed out that Rahul Gandhi questioned why the Delhi Chief Minister was not arrested, but when the court acquitted Kejriwal, it was a setback not only for BJP but also for Rahul Gandhi.
The Chief Minister also pointed out that Congress did not adopt a stance to prevent BJP from coming to power in Delhi. Instead, Congress was focused on defeating AAP, which had a better chance of winning. According to Vijayan, it was Congress' approach that facilitated BJP’s rise to power. He criticised Congress for working against its own allies to benefit BJP.
Chief Minister recalled the Haryana elections where no one expected BJP to win, but Congress, through its approach, helped BJP come to power by opposing efforts of other parties to form an alliance against BJP.
He also mentioned that in Bihar and other elections, Congress’ actions helped BJP by creating divisions instead of forming alliances. Congress, has always supported BJP’s rise. Rahul Gandhi has led this strategy, which, involves Congress facilitating BJP’s victories.
Chief Minister further stated that despite CPI(M) and the Left always taking a firm stand against BJP, Congress has enabled BJP's victories in places like Nemam and Thrissur, where BJP secured votes because of Congress. In local elections, UDF has contested in alliance with BJP, sometimes even sharing positions in local body institutions. The Chief Minister concluded by saying that the Congress and BJP share the same mindset, and now UDF is raising the "deal" allegations to stir public sentiment whenever an LDF candidate seems to be winning.
