Thiruvananthapuram: Police are set to conduct a search of Rahul Eashwar's office at Technopark in connection with the cyberattack against the victim in rape and forced abortion. Investigators will take Rahul into custody for this purpose, and an application for the same is expected to be filed in court on Tuesday. During questioning yesterday, Rahul revealed the existence of his office at Technopark but did not provide further details.
Meanwhile, images and videos of a woman found on Rahul’s laptop will be sent to a forensic laboratory for detailed scientific examination. Cyber police had already secured digital evidence from Rahul during questioning and laptop inspection, which formed the basis for his remand.
Investigators stated in the remand report that granting bail could allow Rahul to destroy evidence or flee the country, and he may collude with other accused to tamper with material. Authorities are also probing whether the content on Rahul’s laptop was stored on cloud platforms. Further searches at the Technopark office are planned, and computers may be seized for forensic analysis.
In a separate home search on Monday, police found that Rahul had set up a home theatre system, which he reportedly used for participating in online channel discussions and other activities. Investigations are ongoing as authorities gather comprehensive digital and physical evidence related to the case.
