Thiruvananthapuram: Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan has said that it is Keralam's unwavering resolve and solidarity in the face of unprecedented crises that has made the state a model for the world, in a Facebook post that has drawn wide attention ahead of polling day.

The Chief Minister wrote that in every adversity, the people of Keralam have held each other's hands, with many risking their own lives to reach out to those in need. He cited the nearly three and a half lakh volunteers who had joined the government's 'sannadhasena' as a testament to this spirit of care, adding that every contribution — however small — made to the Chief Minister's Distress Relief Fund, by rich and poor alike, carries within it the strength of this collective survival.

The CM wrote that it is this solidarity and mutual care that enables Keralam to hold its head high even today, and that the ability to smile in the face of overwhelming adversity comes from the knowledge that no one stands alone. He said Keralam's message to the world is that no challenge is insurmountable when people stand together and support one another.

The post concluded with a call to sustain this unity and this strength, ending with the words: "This unity must continue. This strength must continue. We will continue."
