Two POCSO Case Survivors Go Missing From Protection Centre in Chandranagar

Palakkad: Two girls who were survivors in POCSO cases went missing from a protection centre in Chandranagar. The survivors in POCSO cases registered at the Kollengode and Mankara police stations went missing around 3.30 pm on Monday.

The government-supervised centre is operated by a private trust. Police found that the two girls had left through the front gate while an awareness class for children was being held inside the hall.

The search is being conducted in and around the city, with a focus on the bus stand and railway station. A special team led by Kasaba CI N S Rajeev and SIs Ajay S Menon and V Hemalatha is investigating the case.

Three girls had gone missing from the centre in a similar manner several months ago.
