Kerala Govt Considers Naming New Organ Transplant Institute in Kozhikode After Youngest Donor Alin Sherin Abraham

The Kerala government is considering naming new organ transplant institute, under construction in Kozhikode's Chevayur, after Alin Sherin Abraham — the youngest organ donor — Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan announced on Monday.
The Chief Minister said Alin’s family had set a powerful example through their decision to donate her organs and assured full government support to the bereaved family. He described their act as one that would inspire society and strengthen the state’s organ donation movement.
CM visited Alin Sherin’s residence in Mallappally, at around 6.30 pm on Monday and met her family. He consoled her parents, Arun and Sherin, and expressed the government’s solidarity.
Health Minister Veena George, Gregorios Mar Stephanos, and Raju Abraham, CPI(M) district secretary, were also present during the visit.
