Thiruvananthapuram: As part of Operation D-Hunt, a statewide special drive, police screened 1,424 individuals suspected of involvement in drug trafficking.

A total of 85 cases were registered for possession of various prohibited narcotic substances, and 86 people were arrested. Seized contraband across these cases included MDMA (0.00462 kg), ganja (0.138596 kg), and 54 ganja 'beedi's.

Operation D-Hunt is being conducted across the state to identify those involved in the storage and distribution of illegal drugs and to take stringent legal action against them.

To receive information from the public and act promptly, a 24×7 Anti-Narcotics Control Room has been set up at 9497927797. Authorities assured that the identities of callers will be kept strictly confidential.

As part of efforts to strengthen anti-drug measures, an Anti-Narcotics Intelligence Cell and an NDPS Coordination Cell are functioning at the state level under the direct supervision of the ADGP (Law and Order), with range-level Anti-Narcotics Intelligence Cells also operating across the state.
