Thiruvananthapuram: CPI M Kerala State Secretary M V Govindan strongly condemned the gruesome murder of CPI M senior leader Samineni Ramarao in Telangana. He alleged that the Congress resorted to this heinous act out of fear of losing the upcoming local body elections.

Samineni Ramarao, who served as the Sarpanch of Pattarlapadu village for over three decades, was deeply respected among the downtrodden and the farming community. His popularity, Govindan said, unsettled the Congress, which brutally murdered him by slitting his throat.

M V Govindan accused the Congress of attempting to undermine democracy by eliminating popular leaders. He stated that such violent and immoral politics must end immediately, urging the Congress to abandon murder politics and lay down its weapons.

He also demanded that the Telangana government act swiftly to ensure those responsible for Ramarao’s killing are brought before the law and given strict punishment.

M V Govindan paid tribute to Samineni Ramarao’s martyrdom and extended his heartfelt condolences to the bereaved family and CPI M comrades in Telangana.
