MPs Should Not Be Considered: Rajmohan Unnithan

Thiruvananthapuram: Congress leader and MP Rajmohan Unnithan has reiterated that MPs should not be considered for legislative assembly elections. He stated that parliamentarians should never be given the opportunity to contest such elections. If any MPs are allowed to contest, others will follow suit, and this should be avoided. Unnithan emphasised that MPs have their own responsibilities, which they must fulfill properly.

He further added that if the high command announces candidates for the two constituencies, Koni and Kannur, where MPs are expressing a desire to contest, it could lead to conflict over the candidacy.

Rajmohan Unnithan issued a warning that if anyone who has insulted, demeaned, or tried to tarnish his reputation, or engaged in activities against the party, is chosen as a candidate, it will harm the party. When asked if he was referring to Balakrishnan Periya, he responded that it was clear to everyone. He also mentioned that he was fully satisfied with his current position as an MP.
