Milma Milk Price Hike Takes Effect on Monday

Thiruvananthapuram: Milma's revised milk prices will come into effect from Monday, with a hike of four rupees per litre taking the retail price to ₹56 per litre. In addition to milk, prices of associated dairy products including curd, ghee, and peda will also rise proportionately. Curd will cost ₹10 more per kilogram.
Of the revised hike, 83.75 percent — amounting to ₹3.33 per litre — will be passed on directly to farmers. The remaining amount will be distributed as follows: 6.25 percent each to dairy cooperative societies and dealers, 2.5 percent to Milma, 0.75 percent to the Farmer Welfare Fund, and 0.5 percent towards plastic waste management initiatives.
