Milind Soman Praises Peerumedu–Devikulam Hill Highway After Barefoot Run

Kattappana: Actor and fitness icon Milind Soman praised the construction of the Peerumedu–Devikulam hill highway following the completion of the Hill Highway Run. He said that he only runs without shoes on smooth roads, and he was able to do that during this run. "It is a great highway, and we thoroughly enjoyed running on a beautiful road in a beautiful place,” he said.
The run was organized to promote the completion of the Kuttikkanam–Chappath–Kattappana road, constructed at a cost of Rs 235 crore through the Kerala Infrastructure Investment Fund Board (KIIFB) as part of the Peerumedu–Devikulam hill highway project. The event was flagged off by Minister Roshi Augustine at 7 am from the Marian College ground in Kuttikkanam.
Milind Soman and his team covered a 20-km stretch from Kuttikkanam to Chappath. The event also saw enthusiastic participation from female bikers, roller skaters, cyclists, and Bullet riders. Over 2,000 people had registered for the run, highlighting strong public interest in both fitness initiatives and the promotion of the state’s hilly highway infrastructure.
