Thiruvananthapuram: Writer T D Ramakrishnan said that if Francis Ittikkora were ever adapted into a film, Mammootty would be the only actor he could imagine playing Korappappan.

During the ‘Meet the Author’ session, held as part of the fourth edition of the Book Festival, he spoke with writer Priya K Nair about his new book Korappappan Stuthiyayirikkatte, the second part of Francis Ittikkora. He shared insights about the twelve-year gap between the two novels, the societal changes that occurred during this period, and how these changes are reflected in the new work.

He added that a creative writer is never constrained by political correctness. The characters he creates and their world eventually start to feel like real people. The writer begins to think as they think. Every challenge presents a new possibility for humanity, and for this reason, he views artificial intelligence in a very positive light.
