KSRTC Launches Super-Fast Premium Bus on Malappuram–Ooty Route

Malappuram: The promise made by Transport Minister K B Ganesh Kumar has come to fruition with the launch of a new super-fast premium bus on the Malappuram–Ooty route, replacing the older service. The bus began operations on Saturday, providing faster and more comfortable travel for tourists and daily commuters.

The new KSRTC service departs Malappuram at 11 am and reaches Ooty by 4 pm. The return journey leaves Ooty at 4.40 pm and arrives in Malappuram at 10 pm. Tickets are priced at ₹186 for the Malappuram–Ooty route. In addition, the bus will operate an early morning service from Malappuram to Gudalur at 4 am.

The inaugural service was flagged off by P Ubaidulla MLA at the Malappuram KSRTC stand. Several officials and representatives were present, including Assistant Transport Officer Anas Mundakavalappil, Assistant Depot Engineer Jacob George, Vehicle Supervisor ET Praveen Kumar, Controlling Inspector Sajith Kumar, Municipal Councilor Harris Amien, and labor union representatives Santosh, Shihab, and Selvaraj.

The new service will enhance convenience for travelers and improve connectivity between Kerala and the popular hill station of Ooty.
