Low-Flying Aircraft Damages House Roof at Nedumbassery; Owner Injured

Kochi: A low-flying aircraft caused damage to the roof of a private residence near Nedumbassery airport on Sunday morning at around 8.30 am, injuring the houseowner.


The house belonging to Simon J J of Kattupparamb, suffered roof damage when tiles were dislodged by the aircraft's turbulence. Simon and his wife were at home at the time of the incident. As Simon attempted to rush outside, dislodged roof tiles fell on him, leaving him with a shoulder injury.


The family said they have reported the incident to CIAL (Cochin International Airport Limited) authorities.
