Legislative Assembly Elections: Last Day Tomorrow to Submit Nomination Papers

Thiruvananthapuram: The deadline for filing nominations for the State Assembly elections will end tomorrow. Candidates can submit their nominations before the Returning Officers between 11 a.m. and 3 p.m.

The scrutiny of nominations will take place on Tuesday. There is also an option to withdraw nominations until Thursday, after which the final list of candidates will be confirmed. As per the figures available up to Saturday, a total of 537 nominations have been received across the state.

The election campaign tour of Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan will also begin tomorrow, starting from Pathanamthitta.

As part of the campaign, which will continue until April 3, the Chief Minister will address public meetings at 48 centers across the state. Prominent leaders such as Prakash Karat, Brinda Karat, M.A. Baby, M.V. Govindan, A. Vijayaraghavan, Viju Krishnan, Mariam Dhawale, and Subhashini Ali will also participate in LDF campaign meetings in various parts of the state in the coming days.

The campaign will intensify further once the final list of candidates is released.
