Thiruvananthapuram: Left student organisations will march to Keralam Lok Bhavan on October 23 to protest against the Centre’s actions that undermine democracy and the electoral process. SFI state secretary P S Sanjeev announced at a press conference that Opposition Leader Pinarayi Vijayan would inaugurate the march.

Strong protests are continuing across the country against widespread violations of constitutional rights. In solidarity with the protests in Delhi, similar uncompromising agitations are being organised in Keralam as well, Sanjeev said.

The Narendra Modi government is violating constitutional rights one by one. The struggle to protect people’s rights will be carried forward with greater strength. The Modi government has had to bow before people’s power in the past, he said.

Sanjeev pointed to the nationwide student anger over irregularities in the NEET examination and the subsequent student protests, following which the Union Education Minister had to resign, as evidence of this.

AISF state vice-president Abdullahkutty, district president Abhijith and AIDSO state secretary Aparna also attended the press conference.
