Kannur: The LDF government has placed its performance report before the electorate ahead of polling, with Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan announcing at a press conference that 97 percent of the 900 promises made in the 2021 LDF election manifesto have been implemented.
The Chief Minister highlighted several flagship achievements. The LIFE Mission scheme delivered five lakh houses to the homeless across the state. Under the Punargeham scheme, 2,682 houses were built for fishing communities and flats were provided to 738 families. A total of 4,56,689 land title deeds have been distributed to the landless. The eradication of extreme poverty from Kerala was also cited as one of the government's landmark accomplishments during its tenure.
The progress report, submitted to the public as promised, is part of the LDF's practice of presenting an annual account of manifesto implementation — a commitment the alliance has maintained consistently through its decade in government.
