KSRTC DA Revision: Two Installments Approved; Government to Provide Additional Rs 10 Crore

Thiruvananthapuram: KSRTC has released two installments of DA (Dearness allowance) and DR (Dearness Relief) as a relief to its employees and pensioners. this will result in a seven percent increase in DA of employees and DR of pensioners.

finance minister k n balagopal announced that an additional Rs 10 crore has been allocated to the corporation for this. the salary revision in KSRTC has been implemented in such a way that financial benefits will be available from january 2022.

the government has now decided to grant two more instalments in continuation of this. despite the financial crisis of the corporation, the government is providing great support for the welfare of the employees. in this financial year alone, the government has given Rs 1574 crore as assistance to KSRTC.

An additional Rs 1,439 crore was provided as special assistance, along with Rs 135 crore for capital expenditures, including the purchase of new buses. In addition to the Rs 1,035 crore allocated in the budget, an extra Rs 539 crore was also provided. Since the LDF government came to power, a total of Rs 9,015 crore has been allocated for the survival and development of KSRTC.
