Kerala Pavilion at World Economic Forum Draws Global Attention, Showcases Investment Potential

Davos: Kerala’s pavilion at the 56th World Economic Forum (WEF) in Davos, Switzerland, showcased the state as a hub for knowledge-driven industries, sustainable trade, and business-friendly infrastructure. The pavilion, themed “Kerala – India’s Gateway to Global Business”, was inaugurated by Minister for Industries P. Rajeev.


The event was attended by Chief Secretary Dr. A Jayathilak, Additional Chief Secretary for Industry and Commerce A P M Mohammed Haneesh, Lulu Group Chairman and Managing Director M A Yusuff Ali, and KSIDC Managing Director P Vishnuraj. Minister Rajeev highlighted Kerala’s consistent top ranking in ease of doing business index and its rapid progress as a hub for industrial development.


Kerala is currently focusing on responsible investments across 22 sectors, including renewable energy, electronics, IT, medical devices, tourism, and emerging technologies. Minister Rajeev also highlighted how the state recently made history by eradicating extreme poverty. He also added that leveraging strong foundations in education, healthcare, and social development, Kerala aims to drive economic growth.


From the opening day, Minister Rajeev, who led the state’s delegation in the WEF, held multiple high-level meetings with global industrialists to present investment opportunities across Kerala’s diverse sectors.
