Heavy Rain Likely Across Keralam in Next Three Hours; Strong Winds and Continued Heavy Rain Forecast Till Sunday

Thiruvananthapuram: The India Meteorological Department has forecast rainfall at isolated places across all districts of Keralam during the next three hours. Strong winds with speeds reaching up to 40 kmph are also expected.

Meanwhile, the weather department has predicted that heavy rainfall will continue until Sunday due to the influence of a twin cyclonic circulation system.

For today, heavy rain is expected in the districts of Kozhikode, Kannur, and Kasaragod.

For tomorrow, heavy rainfall is forecast in Pathanamthitta, Kottayam, Ernakulam, Idukki, and Thrissur. As a precautionary measure, a Yellow Alert has been issued for these districts.

The cyclonic circulation that had earlier formed over the northern Tamil Nadu coast is currently positioned over the northern coastal region of Tamil Nadu, contributing to the ongoing weather conditions.
