Kerala Cabinet Revises PSC Age Limit for Exams by Four Years

Thiruvananthapuram: The State Cabinet has approved a proposal to increase the upper age limit for applying to PSC examinations by four years.


With the new decision, candidates in the general category can now apply up to the age of 40, compared to the previous upper age limit of 36 years. For candidates belonging to Scheduled Castes (SC) and Scheduled Tribes (ST), the age limit has been raised to 45 years. Meanwhile, the revised age limit for the aspirants from OBC category will be 43. Previously, it was 39.


The decision, taken at the latest Cabinet meeting, is expected to benefit a large number of aspirants by providing them with extended opportunities to compete for government jobs.
