Thiruvananthapuram: Kerala Industries and Law Minister P. Rajeev said that several people in the state remain in the Congress party as a political organization while ideologically being aligned with the RSS. Although they may not accept awards from the Sangh Parivar, many MPs and MLAs follow its ideology mentally and philosophically.

In Kerala, some individuals continue to remain within Congress while mentally embracing RSS principles. According to the minister, the party now allows a situation where people can function in Congress while supporting the ideology of the RSS. He compared this to a historical situation: in the past, the issue of dual membership arose in the Janata Party, regarding working simultaneously in Jansangh and the RSS. The minister said that a similar issue is now occurring in Congress, where some individuals embrace dual ideological loyalty in their minds.

The minister noted that this situation is causing political issues in Kerala. He added, “Congress is a party that stands against women, and this is well understood by the public.” Actor and director Lal’s recent response, along with remarks by the UDF convener, has confirmed and highlighted this stance.

Regarding the appointment of a new Vice Chancellor, Minister Rajeev said discussions with the Raj Bhavan would continue. The power to give priority in appointments rests with the Chief Minister. If there are objections within the panel, they can be brought to the attention of the Chancellor, and if the Chancellor disagrees with the Chief Minister’s opinion, it can also be presented to the court. The minister emphasized that efforts are ongoing to reach a consensus through discussions.
