Thiruvananthapuram: Minister M. B. Rajesh said that the UDF itself lacks confidence when raising allegations against the state government. He stated that adjournment motions are used to put the government on the defensive. However, during this government's tenure, when adjournment motions are presented, it is the opposition that finds itself on the defensive, he told a news channel. He added that while a motion of no-confidence is the most powerful weapon of the opposition anywhere in the world, in Kerala, the opposition does not even have genuine no-confidence against the government.

M. B. Rajesh said that more adjournment motions have been discussed during the LDF government's tenure than at any other time in the history of the legislature, indicating the government’s confidence. He openly admitted that even the opposition is afraid to present an adjournment motion.

In the last five years, the opposition has not been able to raise a documented corruption allegation against a single minister, which M. B. Rajesh described as the greatest recognition of the government. He noted that the only corruption allegation raised in the assembly was against an opposition leader, and the MLA who raised it is now aligned with the opposition. Rajesh said that the fact no complaint has been filed against any minister is proof of how transparent and confident the government is in moving forward.
