Kerala Elections in Full Swing: 4,66,408 New Voters in the State

Thiruvananthapuram: The final voter list was published ahead of the State Legislative Assembly elections, with a total of 2,71,42,952 voters, according to Chief Election Officer Rathan U Kelkar. Among them, 1,39,21,868 are women, 1,32,20,811 are men, and 273 are transgender voters. This time, 4,66,408 new voters are awaiting to exercise their right to vote.

There is also a distinct feature in the number of senior voters this time. The list includes 1,501 voters aged between 100 and 109 years, and 54 voters aged between 110 and 119 years. When examining the age distribution, voters between the ages of 40 and 49 make up the majority, with 56,32,036 voters in this group.

At the district level, the highest number of voters is in Malappuram (36,32,210). Malappuram is also the only district where there are more male voters than female voters. In this district, there are 18,19,198 male voters and 18,12,974 female voters. In terms of transgender voters, Thiruvananthapuram leads with 52, followed by Malappuram with 38.

At the constituency level, the highest number of voters is in the Tirur constituency of Malappuram, with 2,55,441 voters. Of the total voters, 2,69,00,859 are in the general electoral category, 2,42,093 are in the overseas electoral category, and 53,984 are service voters.

Before the final voter list revision (SRR), Kerala had 2.78 crore voters. In the draft list published in December 2025, this number was 2.54 crore. After the revision, the final list has 2.69 crore voters. Voters can check the list through the website www.ceo.kerala.gov.in or through the taluk, village offices, and booth-level officers, as informed by the authorities.
