Thiruvananthapuram: The Kerala State Election Commission on Tuesday released the draft voter list for the Special Intensive Revision (SIR). According to the draft, 24,08,503 people have been excluded. The list is available online at [https://voters.eci.gov.in](https://voters.eci.gov.in). Around 8.65 percent of the total voters were left out for various reasons. The final draft has also been shared with recognised political parties.

The total number of voters in the state stands at 2,78,50,856. Of these, 2,54,42,352 (91.35%) returned the enumeration forms, State Chief Electoral Officer Rathan U Khelkar stated at a press conference. The number of deceased voters identified is 6,49,885, of which 6,45,548 have been confirmed. Voter Registration Opens Today
Individuals who were unable to submit the enumeration form or whose names are not included in the draft list can register from December 23 to January 22.

Claims and objections can also be submitted during this period. Separate forms are designated for each purpose: Form 6 for adding a name, Form 6A for NRI citizens, Form 7 for deletion (due to death, relocation, duplication, etc.), and Form 8 for corrections or change of residence.

Forms can be accessed at [https://voters.eci.gov.in](https://voters.eci.gov.in). Electoral Registration Officers will review all claims and objections before taking a decision.

If a person included in the draft list is removed after a hearing, a first appeal can be filed with the District Election Officer (DEO) within 15 days of the Electoral Registration Officer’s order. If the decision is unsatisfactory, a second appeal can be made to the Chief Electoral Officer within 30 days of the DEO’s order. The final voter list is scheduled to be published on February 21.
