Kalladi Landslide: Body of Last Missing Person Recovered, Death Toll Rises to Eight

Meppadi: The body of the last person missing in the Kalladi landslide in Wayanad has been recovered, taking the death toll in the disaster to eight.

The deceased has been identified as Bikram Singh Rana, a native of Himachal Pradesh.

The final body was recovered following an extensive search operation carried out across designated zones of the disaster site by teams from the NDRF, the Fire and Rescue Services, and the police, with the assistance of local residents.

In the previous days, the bodies of several victims, including surveyor Ragesh Gucheit, a native of West Bengal, had been recovered from areas along the Meenakshi River and near the bridge.
