Thiruvananthapuram: John Brittas has criticised Rahul Gandhi for repeatedly questioning why enforcement agencies have not arrested Kerala Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan.

In a Facebook post, Brittas stated that Rahul Gandhi has been echoing the same “baseless allegations” raised by the BJP against the Left government in Kerala. Brittas said the Congress leader has been repeatedly demanding Pinarayi Vijayan’s arrest without clearly stating the charges or evidence that would justify such an action by agencies such as the Enforcement Directorate or the Central Bureau of Investigation.

Brittas claimed that whenever Rahul Gandhi visits Kerala, his primary focus has been questioning why the ED has not arrested the Chief Minister. He suggested that such remarks appeared to follow a “script” prepared by Congress leadership.

The Rajya Sabha MP also referred to investigations involving Rahul Gandhi in the National Herald case, noting that Rahul Gandhi had previously stated that he was questioned for hours by the ED. Brittas questioned why Rahul Gandhi himself had not been arrested if the allegations were serious.

In his post, Brittas further raised questions about businessman Robert Vadra, alleging links between political funding and the disappearance of certain cases against him. He also accused the Congress and the BJP of working together politically in some instances.
