Investigation should extend to those who helped Rahul Mamkoottathil: V. K. Sanoj

Kannur: The inquiry must also cover those who assisted Rahul Mamkoottathil, who is facing allegations of sexual harassment, DYFI state secretary V K Sanoj said in Kannur.

He alleged that MP Shafi Parambil had supported Rahul at every stage and continued to back him even as further complaints emerged. According to Sanoj, a criminal network involving both men is exerting influence over the Congress in the state.

He further claimed that critics are being targeted on social media from a war room operating in Vadakara, funded by money collected for Wayanad disaster relief. DYFI will publicly confront those attacking the survivor online on Rahul’s behalf, he added. The organisation will continue its protests until Rahul steps down as MLA.

Sanoj said the LDF is approaching the local body elections by foregrounding the state government’s development achievements, and that CPI M sees no need to run any campaign that deviates from this focus.
