What Satheesan Says Is an Outright Lie; This Situation Would Not Have Arisen if It Had Been Pinarayi,' Says G. Sukumaran Nair

Perunna: Nair Service Society (NSS) General Secretary G Sukumaran Nair has strongly criticised Kerala Chief Minister V D Satheesan, accusing him of making false statements to the media regarding a proposed meeting between them. Addressing a press conference, Sukumaran Nair said the Chief Minister's claims were "an outright lie" and declared that he no longer has any interest in meeting Satheesan in his personal capacity.
"The first message I received was that I could meet him if I go to Ernakulam. I informed the Chief Minister's private secretary that it was not appropriate for me to travel to Ernakulam to meet the Chief Minister. The private secretary said he would consult the Chief Minister and get back to me. After that, neither the Chief Minister nor his private secretary contacted me again. Yet the Chief Minister has been making statements before the media that have no connection with reality. None of the previous Chief Ministers treated people or community leaders in such a degrading manner," Sukumaran Nair said.
He also recalled that he had maintained a cordial relationship with former Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan during the LDF government's tenure.
According to Sukumaran Nair, whenever he called Pinarayi Vijayan, the former Chief Minister would answer the phone immediately if he was available. If he was occupied with official engagements, he would promptly send a message and return the call at the earliest opportunity. "That has been our experience," Sukumaran Nair added.
