Tirur: Education Minister V Sivankutty has stated that strict action will be taken against those launching cyberattacks against the survivor in the sexual assault case involving Rahul Mamkoottathil. The minister said that Rahul Mamkoottathil, who has gone into hiding after the case was registered, may be staying at the AICC office, KPCC office, DCC office, or possibly under the custody of K. Sudhakaran. He was responding to questions from journalists in Tirur.

Rahul Mamkoottathil must surrender as soon as possible and submit himself to the law. He should resign from the MLA post to uphold Kerala’s dignity. The moment the survivor filed a complaint, the Chief Minister instructed authorities to take strict action. Strong action will also be taken against those attacking the survivor on social media. “Some people think they can say anything about anyone on social media. Severe action will be taken against such individuals,” the minister said.
