Kochi: The court has stated that the evidence in the case of the actress assault is not sufficient to prove a conspiracy charge against Dileep. This was made clear in the 1,711-page judgment. The court acquitted Dileep, rejecting the prosecution’s evidence alleging that he conspired with the first accused, NS Suni, also known as Pulsar Suni.
The prosecution had presented a letter sent by Pulsar Suni from jail as evidence of the conspiracy. Initially, Suni claimed that a woman had provided the quotation, but later he said that it was Dileep who had given it. No information was provided about the woman mentioned by Suni. In this context, the court noted that the prosecution failed to prove the conspiracy.
The court also rejected the prosecution’s allegation that actor Dileep, who was the eighth accused, tried to influence various judges. The verdict stated that justice will be served no matter what.
The prosecution claimed that Dileep was arrested based on numerous pieces of evidence. However, the judgment says that Dileep’s arrest was illegal, and none of the evidence presented was sufficient to prove a conspiracy.
