MV Govindan Releases Deshabhimani's Special World Cup Edition ‘Kalikalam’

Thiruvananthapuram: CPI(M) State Secretary M V Govindan released Deshabhimani's special World Cup edition Kalikalam by presenting the first copy to former Indian football player V P Shaji at a function held at the Deshabhimani Auditorium on Saturday afternoon. Chief Editor Putthalath Dineshan presided over the event, with Resident Editor M Swaraj, Chief News Editor T Chandramohan, and HR Manager Shyam Sundar also spoke at the event.

Govindan said Messi and Ronaldo are like neighbours and friends to Malayalis, adding that he has supported Brazil since childhood but that Maradona and Messi have made it impossible to ignore Argentina either.

The 120-page full-colour edition is described as a comprehensive World Cup encyclopaedia, covering the politics and history of the tournament, team preparations, player analyses, interviews, rare photographs, profiles of all 48 teams, the match schedule, and a look at World Cup fever in Kerala. It is priced at ₹100.
