Alappuzha: Daleema MLA has stated that both she and her party, the CPI(M), have a clear position that they will not participate in platforms associated with the Sangh Parivar, political Islam, or any extremist groups, including those that promote divisive ideologies. She emphasized that there can be no compromise with any movement that seeks to create hatred among people.

The MLA clarified that her participation as an elected representative was limited to the flag-off of an ambulance meant for the home-care needs of bedridden patients run by Kaniv, a palliative care organization.

She stressed that she did not attend any programme organized by Jamaat-e-Islami Hind or its affiliated organizations. Deleema was responding to the circulation of what she described as fake news claiming that she had appeared on a Jamaat-e-Islami platform.

As part of her clarification, the MLA also shared on social media the invitation letter she received for the event. She reiterated that equality and fraternity are her core principles, which she will uphold throughout her life. She added that she will continue to speak, engage in public service, and even sing songs in support of spreading these values.
