Another Attendee of K Sudhakaran's "Gundas' Toofan" Meeting Arrested

Kochi: Another person who attended the meeting convened by Congress leader K Sudhakaran MP — widely described as a gathering of criminals — has been arrested. Crime Branch arrested Bilal, a native of Aluva, in connection with a case involving the kidnapping of an NRI businessman. Bilal is also an accused in the beauty parlour shooting case in Kochi.
The meeting had been held at a mini conference hall in a hotel on the outskirts of the city. All those who attended the meeting are believed to have close ties with the Congress party and with K Sudhakaran in particular. Around twenty people, who are accused in over a hundred criminal cases across various districts, had attended the gathering.
Shibu, a native of Mattancherry who also attended the meeting, had been arrested by Mattancherry police the previous day in connection with an attack at a bar. Visuals of Shibu sitting in the front row at Sudhakaran's meeting had also surfaced publicly. The notorious gathering of criminal and gang elements was convened by K Sudhakaran in Kochi recently. Sudhakaran had sought details of the criminal cases against those present and also shared information about Operation Toofan, being implemented by the Home Department.
