Thiruvananthapuram: The CPI(M) has launched a broad-based public consultation initiative to gather suggestions and opinions on the ideas, policies, and action plans the party should pursue in the coming years.

Announcing the initiative, CPI(M) State Secretary M V Govindan said that all Malayalis, both in India and abroad—including party supporters as well as those with no political affiliation to the party—are invited to share their views and recommendations.

"We want to listen to people from all sections of society, including youth, students, women, transgender persons, workers, and others. In particular, the party believes it is important to hear the voices of the younger generation," he told reporters.

The initiative, titled 'Puthuvazhikal' (New Paths), has been launched as part of the party's efforts to engage with the public and gather diverse perspectives on Keralam's social, political, and developmental challenges.

Suggestions can be submitted through dedicated communication channels, including email and WhatsApp. The party has provided the WhatsApp number 7994777168 and the email address [email protected] for the purpose. A dedicated website and mobile application are also being developed and are expected to be launched in the coming days.

Govindan said the feedback received through the initiative would be carefully examined and incorporated into the party's future policy framework and action programs.

"The suggestions received from the public will be taken into consideration while formulating the party's future course of action. We are also taking steps to strengthen the organisation and enhance its effectiveness," he said.
