CPI 25th State Conference Kicks Off in Alappuzha After 43 Years

Alappuzha: On the historic grounds marked by the sacrifices of brave martyrs, the Communist Party of India (CPI) commenced its 25th State Conference at Kanam Rajendran Nagar. The ceremonial Deepashikha (torch procession), symbolizing the party’s enduring spirit, was brought to Valiya Chudukad on Tuesday evening before being received this morning by State Secretary Binoy Vishwam.

To mark the CPI’s centenary, 100 women athletes carried the Deepashikha to the conference venue.
Following the torch reception, State Executive member K.R. Chandramohan hoisted the party flag.
The welcoming committee’s General Convener, T.J. Ancelos delivered the welcome address, and the representative conference was formally inaugurated by CPI General Secretary D. Raja. T.R. Rajendran presented the Martyrs’ Resolution, while K.K. Ashraf introduced the condolence resolution.

After a gap of 43 years, Alappuzha is once again hosting the CPI State Conference. A total of 528 delegates, including 39 invitees, are participating in the event. Later today, at 5 PM, Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan will inaugurate the seminar at the SK Convention Center.
