Wayanad: In Mullankolli, Wayanad, Congress and INTUC have targeted a loading worker after his son decided to contest in the upcoming local body elections. Rajan, the father of C. R. Vishnu, an LDF candidate contesting from the 18th ward of Mullankolli Panchayat, has been denied the opportunity to work because of his son’s political decision.

Rajan, who has worked for over 22 years with the INTUC union, was stopped by union members on Friday morning while going to work. The INTUC members allegedly demanded that Rajan compel his son to withdraw his nomination. They threatened that Rajan would not be allowed to continue working unless he complied.

Vishnu, who serves as the SFI Wayanad district vice president, has been actively contesting in the elections. Since the announcement of his candidature, local Congress and INTUC leaders have reportedly been intimidating his father, using his livelihood as leverage.

Speaking to the media, Rajan expressed his disappointment, stating that he has been a loyal and active member of INTUC for many years and has never spoken against the organization. He emphasized that his son’s political choices are independent and that he will not be pressured into influencing them.
