Price of Commercial Cooking Gas Cylinder Increased

New Delhi: Oil companies have raised the price of commercial cooking gas cylinders. The price of a 19-kilogram cylinder has been increased by 49 rupees. In Chennai, the cylinder price went up by 50 rupees. In Kolkata and Mumbai, the price rose by 49.5 rupees each. Despite the increase, the price of a 19-kilogram LPG cylinder in Mumbai remains below 1,700 rupees, at 1,692 rupees. In Delhi, the cylinder price increased by 49 rupees to reach 1,740.5 rupees.

In Kolkata, the LPG cylinder costs 1,844.5 rupees, while in Chennai it is close to 1,900 rupees, priced at 1,899 rupees. In Kerala, the price in Ernakulam is 1,747 rupees. The price hike comes on the day the Union Budget is set to be presented.

This is the first increase since January, when LPG prices were reduced by 73.06 rupees. The price of the 14.2-kilogram cylinder used for domestic purposes has not been increased. Indian Oil Corporation, HPCL, and BPCL, the Indian oil marketing companies (OMCs), determine the LPG prices.
