Binoy Viswam: Satheesan Preparing for Exile Would Be a Good Idea

Thiruvananthapuram: CPI State Secretary Binoy Viswam stated that if the UDF fails to secure more than 100 seats, Opposition Leader V.D. Satheesan should honor his promise to end his political career and go into exile, calling it a good move. He further added that preparing and tying up a bundle for exile would be a smart idea. Binoy Viswam expressed confidence that the UDF wouldn't even come close to 100 seats, emphasising that the LDF is riding a favorable wave and is guaranteed to secure a third term. He also dismissed claims of an LDF-BJP deal, stating that anyone familiar with history would not believe such lies.
V.D. Satheesan, who had previously stated on multiple occasions that he would go into exile if the UDF did not secure 100 seats, recently backtracked from his position. In an interview with Manorama News, Satheesan clarified that he never actually made such a statement. He explained that what he had said was, "If the UDF does not achieve a brilliant victory, then I will go into exile." Satheesan’s change of stance comes as the election draws closer.
