Thiruvananthapuram: Binoy Viswam, State Secretary of teh CPI, has expressed strong confidence that the LDF will secure a decisive victory in the lections.
Dismissing the conventional belief that higher voter turnout benefits the UDF, he said political dynamics have changed and that increased polling this time would instead work in favor of the LDF.
He attributed the coalition’s confidence to its manifesto and the active participation of women voters, stating that a majority of women support the LDF and would play a crucial role in determining the outcome.
Binoy Viswam also rejected allegations regarding any links with the SDPI, reiterating that Communist parties do not seek votes from communal or extremist groups. “We want the votes of people, not those driven by communal extremism,” he said, emphasizing that this has always been the party’s policy.
He further accused the BJP of relying on corporate-backed illicit funds to influence elections across India, alleging that similar tactics are being used in Keralam as well. Despite this, Binoy Viswam asserted that the LDF would increase its seat tally when the results are announced.
