Mohanlal–Tharun Moorthy Film ‘Athimanoharam’ Denied Permission to Shoot at Sabarimala Sannidhanam

Thiruvananthapuram: The Forest Department has denied permission for the Mohanlal–Tharun Moorthy film Athimanoharam to shoot at the Sabarimala Sannidhanam. The department cited a High Court order while taking the decision. The Ranni Forest Division has granted permission for filming up to Pampa.
The Forest Department said the area where the temple is located falls within the Periyar Tiger Reserve and that the latest High Court order remains in force.
The film’s second schedule had been planned to be shot at Sabarimala. The Travancore Devaswom Board had earlier granted conditional permission for the shoot.
Athimanoharam marks Mohanlal’s collaboration with director Tharun Moorthy after the hit film Thudarum. The film’s first-look poster had attracted attention. Meera Jasmine is also appearing in a prominent role.
