Stands with Survivor; Respects Court Verdict in Actress Assault Case: Asif Ali

Kochi: Reacting to the verdict in the actress assault case, actor Asif Ali said that he stands with the survivor and respects the court verdict. He expressed his stance while addressing the media after casting his votes in the local elections. However, he did not express any opinion on whether the court’s judgment was fully fair or just. He said he accepted the judgment as it is.

Asif Ali added that it is not upto him to decide whether the survivor received complete justice. He felt that commenting on the court verdict could be condemnable, but emphasized that everyone involved in the case has been punished according to the court’s decision. He reiterated that his position is to support justice for the survivor, and that it is not about whether any individual gets punished or not.

He also noted that this is a matter on which everyone must respond carefully and responsibly.
