Following the post-mortem, Ananthu’s body was brought to Christ King Higher Secondary School, Manimooli, where classmates and teachers bid a tearful farewell to their beloved student. The atmosphere was heavy with grief as students and teachers struggled to hold back their emotions.
New details have emerged indicating that Vineesh, who has been arrested in connection with the case, was present at the scene when the incident occurred. Shockingly, he did not attempt to help Ananthu or the other boys. Instead, he allegedly called his family, asking them to pack a change of clothes and cash, indicating an intention to flee. Police apprehended Vineesh while he was attempting to abscond. Ananthu and five of his friends were returning home after playing football. The group, familiar with the route, claimed that no electric fencing had been present the previous day.
