Thiruvananthapuram: Kerala Police have intensified their investigation into the death of 26-year-old Anandu Aji, who ended his life after revealing that he had been sexually abused at RSS camps. The probe, led by the Thampanoor Police, has identified the person referred to as “NM” in Anandu’s suicide note. According to officials, “NM” is an active RSS leader, and the investigation is now being extended toward him.
Investigators have collected details of the RSS branch that Anandu attended during his childhood and recorded statements from his relatives. Police sources said the accused is known to Anandu’s family. Further inquiries are underway to trace the suspect’s involvement and examine the wider network linked to the case.
Anandu, a native of Vanchimala in Kottayam, was found dead in a lodge at Thampanoor, Thiruvananthapuram, last Thursday, shortly after a scheduled Instagram post appeared on his account describing the abuse he faced. The suicide note detailed years of sexual abuse he allegedly endured at RSS camps, beginning at the age of four. He wrote that the trauma had caused long-term psychological distress and accused RSS functionaries of systematically exploiting children. The note also claimed that several other minors had been sexually assaulted within RSS branches.
In his final words, Anandu expressed deep anguish, writing that there was “no organization in the world” he hated more, and warning others never to befriend RSS members, describing them as “venomous people.”
